Space Camper – One of the first accessories for the cybertruck

One of the first accessory companies ever made for the cybertruck is called Space Campers. They specialize in making camper shells that you can install in the bed of your pickup. This type of accessory is no easy task given the cybertruck’s unique dimensions, but they seem to have approached the prototyping phase.

They have two products in the pipeline. 1. Called the Wedge, which sits on top of the back of the pickup truck and opens upward when you are ready to camp. You’ll have a bed, a desk, and your usual storage underneath the device in the bed of the truck. 2.Called the Cap, which will act as a truck topper (hopefully) more resilient than the tonneau that the truck will ship with.

For the Wedge, they have plans to implement a solar panel on the roof, which will power a full camp kitchen, a fold out shower and bathroom, along with a back rack which will move the kitchen from the back of the truck bed to the side, giving you more room.

Here is a video of the prototype:

As you can tell it’s starting to come together, and the accented lights around the edge are a nice contemporary touch that add to the design. This is a perfect accessory for minimalists and camping enthusiasts. Granted the initial price is pricy at $24,000, it’s also early in the product cycle and hopefully the costs will reduce with volume and production efficiency.

The kitchen will include:

  • A stainless steel sink basin and faucet
  • Electric cooler
  • Induction cooktop
  • Portable Freshwater Tank
  • Carbon Filter Water System
The shower will include:
  • An enclosure that folds down
  • A wand
  • A tankless water heater
  • Portable Toilet
  • Freshwater tanks

As far as timing goes, the reservations are apparently booked until 2025 before you can reserve one for Tier 4 which is $100.

There are other accessories and companies that are starting to develop, for example, the Cybrlandr (which we will cover in a future post), or CyberWraps which change the appearances of your truck.
